I would be happy if they would consider NOT cutting pre-k altogether. That has been proposed and it troubles me that pre-k is not a priority. High stakes testing is still in, but pre-k is out? Pre-k is what Kindergarten used to be. Give the kids a step "up" not down.

As great as this bill is, with our extreme awful budget issues, I worry about how much this program would cost.

The representative's name is spelled Villarreal, not Villerreal, but that is not important since it is only an education bill.
