And let me add, Pena's reasoning behind this bill is that "90% of guns in Mexico are from the US". That is utterly false. The GAO sampled 7,000 guns seized by the Mexican government out of 32,000. Of that 7,000 -- only 4,000 of them could be traced. And of those 4k...90% were traced back to the US. Which would mean, of the guns that the Mexican government sent to the US, 10% in reality were traced back to us.
